In view of intelligence warning about a possible Naxal strike, security has been heightened in Koraput district ahead of the 72nd Republic Day celebrations. Reports said that elaborate security arrangements have been made for the occasion. This includes intensive patrolling by security forces and sealing of borders with neighboring states.
