Revised Parking Fees Coming Into Force In Bhubaneswar From April 1 | OTV News

Parking charges in Bhubaneswar will be revised from April 1st. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday (January 21) initiated the process to revise parking charges in the state capital.
The BMC has invited tender for 32 parking lots in the town. As per the decision, there will be no parking charges for bicycles. However, motorcyclists will have to pay Rs 5 for the first two hours following which Rs 15 will be charged. For three to four hours of parking, the fee for 2-wheelers has been stipulated at Rs 25 and for four to five hours, the charges will be Rs 35.
Similarly, for auto-rickshaws, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles, the parking charges will be Rs 5, Rs 20 and Rs 25 respectively for the first 2 hours. Between 2-3 hours, the parking fee will increase to Rs 20, Rs 40 and Rs 50 respectively. For parking between three to four hours, Rs 35, Rs 60 and Rs 75 will be charged for auto-rickshaws, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles. For parking duration of four to five hours, the charges for auto-rickshaws, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles will be Rs 50, Rs 80 and Rs 100 respectively.
For parking beyond five hours, commuters will need to pay 20 per cent extra per hour. Electric vehicles will get 40% discount on parking fees.
