Even though Section 377 has been decriminalized in the country, the stigma against a same-sex marriage is still prevalent in the society. This couple from Danagadi area of Jajpur is a victim of the same stigma and has sought protection. Subhalakshmi Pati and Lakshmipriya Mishra, aged 22 and 21, respectively had decided to get married after being together for two years.
