Lord Jagannath has many forms and often takes the shape of his devotees’ imagination. In one such portrayal, Satyanarayan Maharana, a sculptor from Berhampur, has captured Lord Jagannath’s Nagarjuna Besha in a 4-inch piece of wood. The artist has also illustrated the reopening of the Puri Temple in an innovative way to create awareness of among people regarding COVID19.
Satya has showcased the image of the Holy Trinity Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra in his wooden sculpture. Satyanaran has also intricately incorporated the symbolism of communal harmony in his sculpture.
