To boost air connectivity in the western parts of Odisha, SpiceJet will be launching direct flight services from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport in Jharsuguda to Mumbai and Bengaluru from the 12th of this month.

The Joint Secretary of the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, Usha Padhee said the launch of flight operations is expected to boost the economy of Western Odisha and help fulfill the aspirations of the people of the region.

The Odisha Commerce and Transport Department also informed about the development through a tweet citing that SpiceJet will be starting flights from Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda to Mumbai and Bengaluru from January 12.
