The Golden Beach at Puri was formally accorded the prestigious ‘Blue Flag’ tag on Monday. This was done with the unfurling of the Blue Flag and the Tricolour on the beach. The flag hosting ceremony was conducted out by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar through video conferencing. Odisha Tourism and Culture Minister, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi was also present at the ceremony to formally announce the Blue Flag tag to the Golden Beach.
