2020 brings another dampener for the people of the capital city. The Coronavirus pandemic has played a spoilsport on the New Year eve merrymaking as restrictions have been imposed on ‘Zero Night’ celebrations on the night of December 31.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has clarified that the current COVID-19 guidelines don’t allow any celebration on New Year’s Eve.
City hotels, clubs and pubs that are usually crammed with people, enjoying and celebrating will wear a deserted look due to the COVID 19 restrictions this year. These restrictions are expected to hamper the business of these establishments who leave no stone unturned to provide entertainment to revellers every year.
