SHIP CONTINUES TO SINK OFF COAST OF SRI LANKA

The damaged ship MV X-Press Pearl continues to sink off the coast of Sri Lanka, contributing to one of the worst environmental disasters in the country’s history.
The ship, which was carrying a number of toxic chemicals and dangerous materials, began sinking on Wednesday after catching fire late last month. In addition to leaking hazardous chemicals, officials now fear hundreds of tonnes of oil could leak into the water as well.
