20 दिसम्बर को फेसबुक ने संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा के फेसबुक पेज को अप्रकाशित कर दिया। सोशल मीडिया पर लोगों ने सवाल उठाए तो पेज को वापस प्रकाशित किया गया। किसानों का कहना है कि ऐसे पेजों की भूमिका तब महत्वपूर्ण हो जाती है जब मुख्यधारा के मीडिया संस्थानों और सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर उनके ख़िलाफ़ प्रोपेगंडा चलाकर उन्हें निशाना बनाया जाता है। किसानों के सामने क्या चुनौतियां हैं और वो उससे निपटने के लिए क्या कर रहे हैं, द वायर नें इस संबंध में सिंघू बॉर्डर पर लोगों से बात की।

According to the farmers, their social media presence allows them to counter the narratives of the mainstream media and other internet groups. The Wire spoke to members of the farmers protest at Singhu Border, who are involved in establishing narratives within and beyond the protest sites.
