On Tuesday, October 29, civil society members & politicians registered a protest through poetry, songs of resistance and solidarity with the people of J&K at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. The purpose of the protest was to not take any step about the future of J&K without their consent. They also demanded the restoration of pre-August 5 situation in Kashmir with regards to Article 370 ad 35A, a reversal of the bifurcation of the territory and the downgrading of state status to a Union Territory, Scaling back of the troops deployed in J&K, and of intimidation and harassment of children and their parents by military & paramilitary forces.
