"Rage Against the Dying of the Light": Naseeruddin Shah's Tribute to Girish Karnad

Naseeruddin Shah and Girish Karnad knew each other since 1975. Karnad was the director of the Film and Television Institute of India and Shah was an acting student. At the time, Girish Karnad told film director Shyam Benegal about the young acting student, which led to Naseeruddin Shah's first role. After Girish Karnad's death on June 10, Shah wrote a moving tribute to his long-time friend and colleague. It was recorded for a memorial event held by the Bangalore International Centre.
