A team from The Wire visited two coaching centers in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar and Laxmi Nagar and spoke with students and teachers about fire safety in the context of the recent tragedy in Surat. We found that fire safety regulations are blatantly disregarded in most coaching centers. And due to congestion and overuse, most buildings in which classes are conducted are very much at risk of fire-related accidents.
