There is murmur of a plan that has been set in place for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. The RSS chief and sadhus talk about a special legislation on the matter as party leaders up the ante by issuing open threats, reminding us of 1992 and even intimidating the Supreme court. The PM's speeches in Rajasthan, MP and Chattisgarh make it clear that he too is raking up the issue in a big way. Does the country need to be worried as we are reminded of the black days of 1992, when nearly 2000 people lost their lives because of the events surrounding the demolition of the Babri Masjid?
