Karnataka Poll Express: Popular Front of India (PFI) - Radical or Righteous?

From so called 'Love Jihad' to alleged links with terror outfits, the Popular Front of India, PFI, has been in the news over one issue or the other. The PFI is a Muslim organisation that is seen as radical, its cadres present mostly across Kerala and Karnataka. Some of its members are alleged to have suspected links with organisations like Al Qaeda, a charge the PFI has denied in the past.

We travel to Udayagiri Mysore, where its leaders were campaigning for the SDPI candidate for the Karnataka elections. The Social Democratic Party of India, SDPI that shares cadres with PFI, has fielded three candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections - Gulbarga North, Chikpete in Bangalore and Narasimharaja constituency in Mysuru.
