Duchess of Cambridge praises hardworking ward host in NHS hospital

Kate has shared a call she made to Gimba, who was working on a COVID-19 ward in London when she heard her mother was very ill in Nigeria, more than 4000 miles away. Despite her own heartbreak, Gimba did not take any time off, and continued her shift. Kate praised her resilience and the two women discussed the photo taken of her that day as she enjoyed her lunch break after feeding the patients on her ward.
