Polish women who protested against the anti-abortion law proposed last year in October, were awarded the Simon de Beauvoir prize for Women’s Freedom. Their courage to fight against the law was supported through-out Europe. Thousands of women wearing black participated and successfully pressured the Parliament to reject the proposal.
