Tristan Thompson Game 5 Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Nets

Tristan Thompson was interviewed after the Celtics were eliminated by the Brooklyn Nets, 123-109. On the struggles of this season and the team’s effort to build chemistry, Thompson said "In these past two weeks, the team came together and fought. I think that is what Boston represents – people that are going to fight no matter what, and that’s what we did in this series. We fought, and I think we earned some respect around the league."
Thompson sang praises of young star Jayson Tatum. "We saw what he could do. He scored 50 with our backs against the wall. Now we'll get to see his game mature. He'll watch film and figure out what he needs to go...The kid's one hell of a player. I think he'll hold the MVP trophy one day."
Thompson also made sure to give Robert Williams some appreciation, saying "The sky is the limit for that kid. He has a lot of energy and a lot of grit."
On whether or not the team needs a shakeup, Thompson said “That’s probably a Danny Ainge question, but for me as a player, I think that we have a lot of special pieces on this team...we never really got a fair shot to see what this puzzle could look like.”
