"It's unfortunate that sports has come to a lot of this kind of crossroads. ... Just underlying racism and just treating people like they're in a human zoo," says Nets Guard, Kyrie Irving regarding the fan who threw a water bottle at him while leaving the court during game 4 of the NBA playoff Nets vs Celtics series.

Celtics fan Cole Buckley, the 21-year-old suspect who allegedly threw a water bottle at Kyrie Irving, has been charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court. Buckley also has been banned from returning to the TD Garden for life.

Celtics star, Jayson Tatum on the incident: “18,000 people in the building, I guess in every arena there are a few bad seeds. I don’t want that to overshadow the rest of the fans who came and supported us tonight…but obviously there is no place in the NBA for throwing anything at a player.”
