Sardar Sarovar Project hits a new target by supplying 453 billion litres of water to nearby villages

The lifeline of Gujarat, the Sardar Sarovar Dam added another feather to its glory by hitting a new target of 453 billion litres of water supply to nearby villages.
Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta, managing director of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, shared the phenomenal result of the Sardar Sarovar dam on his twitter. He wrote, “1st time in the history of #SardarSarovarProject-Summer irrigation in the entire Narmada Command Area upto 30th June has been possible this year. And 35 Reservoirs, about 1,200 village ponds & 1,000+ check dams in 20 districts are being filled with 453 billion litres of water.”
