In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, individuals and organisations all over the country are offering their services to provide free meals to those in need. An important name in this list is that of Mumbai’s famed 'Dabbawalas’ or Tiffin service providers. Dressed in a white outfit and traditional Gandhi Cap, these groups of Dabawalas have been distributing food items amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The ‘Dabawalas’ are delivery men from rural Mumbai known for their impeccable distribution management system. They have been distributing food to the attendees outside hospitals as well as the Covid-19 centres irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. Taking all necessary precautions, strict social distancing protocols are being followed by the distributors to curb the virus spread. As many restaurants and dhabas were closed due to lockdown, relatives and friends of admitted patients in the hospital expressed their appreciation to the trust for their humanitarian provision. Commoners all over the country are doing their level best to help the authorities in all possible ways in fighting the deadly coronavirus.
