The Afghanistan cricket team will be hosting Pakistan for a white-ball series in the UAE in August/September this year ahead of the T20 World Cup which is also likely to be shifted to the UAE owing to the dire Covid-19 situation in India. Pakistan and Afghanistan have met frequently in ICC and Asian Cricket Council events but have never played a bilateral series.
