3 companies get approval for production of Amphotericin B

Demand for antifungal drug 'Amphotericin B' has spiked in recent weeks owing to an increase in cases of mucormycosis, also known as black fungus, an infection seen in patients who are on medication for Covid-19 or recovered from it. States have begun to panic as the number of black fungus cases is rising slowly but steadily across the country. Meanwhile, three companies got consent for the production of Amphotericin B.
