Il vincitore di tappa Andrea Vendrame, subito dopo l'arrivo, ha dichiarato: "Un'emozione incredibile, non riesco neanche a parlare. Si è avverato un sogno, vincere una frazione alla Corsa Rosa. Ringrazio il mio compagno di squadra Geoffrey Bouchard. Siamo andati in fuga perché volevamo prendere più punti possibili ai GPM per la sua Maglia Azzurra, poi nel finale ho seguito Hamilton quando ha allungato. Ho dato tutto nello sprint fino al traguardo e così sono riuscito a regalare un successo alla squadra. Dopo un periodo negativo dove ho avuto anche un infortunio, questa vittoria è un qualcosa di indescrivibile".
