Testing hesitancy becomes a major problem as Covid-19 reaches rural Punjab
  • 3 years ago
Covid-19 has made its way to the rural areas of Punjab. In Dhablan village in the chief minister's home district of Patiala, there have been more than dozen Covid deaths in recent times.

Faced with this crisis, a major obstacle being faced by health workers in the area is the villagers' reluctance to get tested.

Additionally, the medical infrastructure in rural Punjab, especially in the border areas, is very fragile.
