In a high-level meeting, reviewing the Covid-19 situation and lockdown in the state, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stressed that the arrangements for Covid-19 treatment at the community health centre (CHC) and primary health centre (PHC) level in the state should be strengthened at the war footing.

The CM Gehlot said that in the model CHC, the facilities like admission, setting up of oxygen generation plant and infant intensive care unit and other facilities should be completed in a time-bound manner. This will enable us to counter the second as well as the possible third wave of the pandemic.

With these facilities, the pressure on district and divisional hospitals will be reduced by providing appropriate treatment at the local level to the Covid patients. The Chief Minister directed that in districts where the rate of infection is high, including Jaipur, the system of 'Micro Containment Zone' should be strengthened further.

Door-to-door survey and distribution of drug kits should be expedited. During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed deep concern over many cases of black fungus. He instructed concerned authorities to provide special treatment facilities in the hospitals.

He also directed senior officials to coordinate with the central government to ensure the adequate availability of its medicines.
