شہرِ قائداعظم کراچی میں لیاری کے اندر جہاز طرز کے فن تعمیر کی ایک اعلیٰ شاہکار مسجد جو ماہی گیروں کی بستیوں والے علاقے کا پتہ بھی دیتی ہے اور تھوڑی سی جگہ پر تعمیر کی جانے والی ایک منفرد مسجد بھی کہلاتی ہے۔ تاریخی طور پر یہ مسجد ایک 100 سالہ قدیم مسجد ہے جسے بعد میں انہوں نے جہاز کے انداز میں تعمیر کرنے کا خواب دیکھا تھا۔ مزدوروں اور تنخواہ دار لوگوں نے کشتی والی مسجد کی تعمیر کے لئے فراخدلی سے عطیہ کیا اور آج سیمنٹ اور بجری کی یہ جہاز نما مسجد علاقے کی خوبصورتی میں نمایاں اضافہ کر رہی ہے۔
