BJP blames Delhi govt for oxygen crisis, accuses AAP MLAs of black marketing Covid-19 supplies
  • 3 years ago
BJP has alleged that the Delhi government was responsible for the “unparalleled Covid-19 crisis” in the city and demanded that a case of criminal negligence be filed against the Arvind Kejriwal-led government.

Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta claimed that the Centre had warned Delhi of a major second wave of the pandemic as early as October 2020. The Centre, however, seems to have been just as unprepared, if not more, for the second wave.

Kejriwal’s government, according to Gupta, wasted six months in "politics of confrontation" with the Centre. He claimed that the Centre had given money from the PM CARES fund to the Delhi government in December 2020 to set up eight oxygen plants and arrange oxygen tankers, but neither of these had been done.
