Prithvi Shaw’s turnaround from the low of Australia tour last year has been nothing short of sensational. After having his technique scrutinized following scores of 0 and 2 during the first India-Australia Test of the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he went back, worked on his batting, and returned with stellar returns in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he became the first player to amass over 800 runs in a single edition of the tournament. But, He got snubbed from England Tour.

शानदार फॉर्म से गुजर रहे पृथ्वी शॉ के साथ एक बार फिर से नाइंसाफी हुई है. पृथ्वी शॉ को इंग्लैंड दौरे के लिए चयन नहीं किया गया है. लगातार रन बनाने के बाद भी पृथ्वी शॉ को अनदेखी की गयी है. दरअसल, पिछले दिनों इंग्लैंड दौरे के लिए भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम का ऐलान हुआ. साथ ही आईसीसी वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप के फाइनल के लिए भी टीम चुनी गई. इस दौरान बीसीसीआई ने 20 खिलाड़ियों का चयन किया. जबकि चार खिलाड़ियों को स्टैंडबाय के तौर पर रखा गया. इन खिलाड़ियों में पृथ्वी शॉ का नाम नदारद रहा. 22 साल का ये ओपनर बल्लेबाज ऑस्ट्रेलिया दौरे पर फ्लॉप रहा था. एक ही मैच के बाद पृथ्वी शॉ को हटा दिया गया. इसके बाद घरेलू क्रिकेट खेले और खूब रन कूटे. पृथ्वी शॉ ने मुंबई की कप्तानी करते हुए सिर्फ 8 मैचों में 827 रन ठोक डाले और विजय हजारे ट्रॉफी में नया रिकॉर्ड बना दिया.
