Post-poll violence in Bengal; Twitter suspends Kangana Ranaut's account; more

West Bengal was in the throes of widespread violence on Monday that allegedly left several BJP workers dead and injured in clashes, and shops being looted, prompting the Centre to seek a factual report from the state government on the incidents of attack on opposition workers. The BJP has announced a nationwide dharna on May 5 against the alleged post-election violence by Trinamool Congress workers in Bengal.

Also, Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account has been permanently suspended after she posted tweets that violate the guidelines of the micro-blogging site. In a series of tweets, the actress had made objectionable comments on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The actress was criticising Mamata Banerjee for the alleged violence that took place in the state following the announcement of State Assembly Election results on Sunday (May 2).
