The inspiration behind this video: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier director Kari Skogland is open to helming Captain America 4. Prior to her work on Marvel's second original series, Skogland made a name for herself directing some of television's biggest shows. From prestige dramas like The Handmaid's Tale and House of Cards to genre fare like The Walking Dead and The Punisher, Skogland has had a hand in crafting the look of some massively popular series. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier proved no different, with Skogland directing all six episodes.

The series was praised for its direction when it came to the high-flying action sequences, but now that Sam Wilson has taken on the role of Captain America it's time for his next chapter. Shortly after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's finale debuted, reports surfaced that Captain America 4 is in development with showrunner Malcolm Spellman set to pen the script. Although those who are presumably involved have downplayed the reports, it certainly seems that Sam Wilson's future in the MCU is looking bright and Skogland would like to be involved.
