The Ford Freestyle is a crossover hatchback with 190mm ground clearance and SUV-like styling elements.

On the outside, The Freestyle gets SUV-like black cladding across the lowermost body panels. It still gets a set of halogen headlamps and fog lamps, as well as halogen rear lights. The Freestyle also comes with a pair of roof rails. Besides that, the Flair edition variant features some cosmetic updates such as gloss black painted grille, roof and alloy wheels, as well as red painted roof rails, ORVMs and faux bash plates on the bumpers.

On the inside, the Freestyle gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and rear-view camera display. The car has fabric upholstery for seats. There are no changes for the Freestyle Flair edition except a dual-tone seat upholstery.

Ford has provided Active Rollover Prevention (ARP) in the car to compensate for the raised ride-height. Additionally, it gets automatic wipers and headlamps, push start/stop function etc.

The Freestyle is currently offered with only a five-speed manual transmission with both petrol and diesel engines.
