Robert Williams was interviewed after the Celtics’ pregame shootaround before their game vs the San Antonio Spurs. Williams was asked about the recovery process after his recent knee injury.
He was asked what the source of the problem was. “Yeah a little tendonitis,” said Williams.” When asked if this issue was connected to previous injuries, he responded with, “nah… they’re not connected.” “Been dealing with tendonitis for a while.”
Williams also talked about the process of returning from injury, and what it was like having to sit out for so long. “The process really was just getting back in the groove,” he said. “It's always a frustrating situation being out with injury at such a critical time.”
Williams has been a big-time source of energy for the C’s this year. He was asked about his role and whether or not the injury will affect that. “I wouldn’t be out there if I didn’t feel like I was 100%,” he responded.
