United States President Joe Biden extended America's full support to India which is battling a severe Covid-19 second wave on his call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Joe Biden recounted India's contribution in US' fight against the deadly disease in a tweet from his official President account. The two leaders engaged via phone call a day after the US announced it would supply raw materials urgently needed for making the Covishield vaccine & oxygen generation equipment to bolster India’s efforts to counter the second wave of record-breaking Coronavirus infections. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi said he had \"fruitful conversation\" with US President Joe Biden about the prevailing Covid-19 situation in India & the United States. India's new Covid-19 deaths hit an overwhelming peak with 3,293 people dying in the last 24 hours. New cases rose by over 3.6 lakh, a global high, pushing the total cases to over 1.79 crore.
