Varkari in Masjid

Aashadhi Ekadashi is one of the auspicious festival of devotion. Hundreds of thousands devotees from all over Maharashtra, Karnatak, Andhra Pradesh and Goa, come to Pandharpur to take DARSHAN of Pandurang or Vitthal, the God of Vaishnavas. The procession starts from Alandi and Dehu near Pune, Maharashtra. They walk about 250 kilometers to go to Pandharpur. The devotees on the way are served by local people. The supply food, water and shelter. Some of the Varkari's from Kolhapur district stay in the Masjid in Pune. A rare example of Hindu-Muslim unity.
