Earthquake tremors have been felt in the northeast, including Guwahati in Assam. The intensity of this earthquake that occurred on Wednesday morning at 7. 51 am on the Richter scale has been measured at 6.4. The epicenter of the earthquake is being described as Sonitpur in Assam. The earthquake was so severe that it was felt from neighboring Arunachal Pradesh to the northern part of West Bengal and Bihar. After the tremors were felt, people came out of their homes, panic spread among the people.

असम के गुवाहाटी समेत पूर्वोत्तर में भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए है. बुधवार की सुबह 7 बजकर 51 मिनट पर आए इस भूकंप की रिक्टर स्केल पर तीव्रता 6.4 मापी गई है. भूकंप का केंद्र बिंदु असम का सोनितपुर बताया जा रहा है. भूकंप का झटका इतना तेज था कि पड़ोस के अरुणाचल प्रदेश से लेकर पश्चिम बंगाल के उत्तरी हिस्से और बिहार तक महसूस किया गया। भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए जाने के बाद लोग घरों से बाहर निकल आए, लोगों में दहशत फैल गई.
