Hazard reduction burns in new South Wales are causing poor air quality across Sydney and other parts of the state. The RFS is taking advantage of good conditions for the burns but low winds and other weather conditions is causing smoke to cover low lying areas of greater Sydney and the Illawarra Shoalhaven.
