The Road Towards Completion Of The Lapsset Project Seem To Be On Track After A Boat Carrying Assorted Equipment For Cargo Handling And Navigation Left Mombasa For Lamu, As The Government Races Against Time To Operationalise The New Port. The Shoal-Draft Flat-Bottomed Boat Loaded With The First Set Of Equipment Is Expected To Arrive In Lamu On Tuesday. The Lapsset Project Once Complete Will Also Include Several Airports, Resort Cities, An Oil Refinery, A 32-Berth Port In Lamu And Other Supporting Infrastructure Mini Projects Linking With Other African Countries.
