Covid mortality rate rising rapidly in UP: Health Ministry

India reported over 2.95 lakh new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall Covid-19 tally in the country to 1,56,16,130. With 2,023 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the nationwide toll has mounted to 1,82,553, the Union health ministry said Wednesday. During the press briefing, Health Ministry said that the mortality rate in Uttar Pradesh is rapidly rising similar to the speed of new cases.
