India registered 2,95,041 new Covid-19 cases and 2,023 deaths in the last 24 hours. Top five states which have registered maximum cases are Maharashtra with 62,097 cases, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 29,574 cases, Delhi with 28,395 cases, Karnataka with 21,794 cases and Kerala with 19,577 cases. 54.72 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Maharashtra alone responsible for 21.05 per cent of the new cases. 2,023 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Maximum casualties were reported in Maharashtra (519), followed by Delhi with 277 daily deaths.
