Jabari Parker Will Play Tonight | Celtics vs Warriors
  • 3 years ago
Brad Stevens was interviewed pregame before the Celtics took on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. He spoke about Jabari Parker’s role with the team, as well as giving injury updates on Robert Williams, Jaylen Brown, and Evan Fournier.
The Celtics signed forward Jabari Parker to a two-year contract yesterday. Stevens was asked about where he will fit in with the team. “Jabari’s been a good player in this league for a few years now,” he said. “This is a plan beyond this year… we’re going to be patient in bringing him along.” Parker will be available to play tonight.
Swingman Evan Fournier has been out since before the Celtics’ recent road trip. Stevens mentioned that “Evan is out of quarantine,” but “he still has a few days to go.” He also said this about his return - “certainly not today and certainly not Monday.”
Both Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams are out tonight vs the Warriors. Stevens had this to say regarding both of their statuses. Robert Williams is “getting better [and] he feels better today… he’s right around the corner from playing.” As for Jaylen, he is simply “out sick.”
