In the Theatrical Pilot of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Captain Buck Rogers, played by Gil Gerard, launches with a Space Shuttle in the near future (as seen from 1978) as only crew. Suppose it'll be normal in 1987 to only have one crew on board.
A system malfunction freezes him. He wakes up 500 years later to find out disco music is still hot. So is Colonel Wilma Deering, portrayed by Erin Gray.
