Prof Mbote Vows To Tackle Judiciary Underfunding If Appointed C.J

Prof. Patricia Kameri Mbote on Tuesday found herself in a fix following her inclination to the building bridges initiative (BBI) constitutional amendments bill, which seeks to introduce the office of the ombudsman appointed by the president. While appearing before the judicial service commission (JSC) while being interviewed for the position of chief justice, Mbote defended the position of judiciary ombudsperson saying it would play a key role in holding the judiciary to account.
