ba-qaul us aankh ke duniya badal to sakti hai
tere KHayal ko kuchh chup si lag gai warna
kahaniyon se shab-e-gham bahal to sakti hai
ab itni band nahin gham-kadon ki bhi rahen
hawa-e-kucha-e-mahbub chal to sakti hai

فراقؔ اک نئی صورت نکل تو سکتی ہے
بقول اس آنکھ کے دنیا بدل تو سکتی ہے
ترے خیال کو کچھ چپ سی لگ گئی ورنہ
کہانیوں سے شب غم بہل تو سکتی ہے
اب اتنی بند نہیں غم کدوں کی بھی راہیں
ہوائے کوچۂ محبوب چل تو سکتی ہے
