Covid-19: Karnataka govt imposes night curfew in 6 cities including Bengaluru, Mysuru

Karnataka government on Thursday announced that there will be a night curfew in some cities in the state from 10 pm till 5 am, starting April 10. The night curfew will be in place till April 20. The night curfew has been imposed in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Udupi, Tumakuru and Manipal cities in the state. "Night corona curfew between 10 pm to 5 am every day, from April 10 to 20, will be imposed in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Tumakuru, Udupi-Manipal cities. It will be applicable in district centres," Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said. Speaking to reporters after attending a meeting via video conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with chief ministers of various states on the Covid-19 situation, he said essential services will be allowed.
