A Tasmanian Labor candidate and the party's president has resigned his candidacy over "inappropriate" text messages sent years ago. Ben McGregor says he's the victim of a smear campaign from within the party and has accused Labor leader, Rebecca White, of failing in her leadership, by forcing him to resign.
