India reported 1,03,558 new Covid-19 cases, 52,847 discharges, and 478 deaths in the past 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry. Maharashtra reported the highest single-day rise of 57,074 new Covid-19 cases and 222 deaths on Sunday. The Maharashtra government has announced new restrictions, including a weekend lockdown and a night curfew in the state.
