Romeo Langford Not Close to Returning

Coach Brad Stevens spoke during his pregame interview about Romeo Langford's health and conditioning, saying Langford told staff "his legs felt like jelly" after running drills the other night. Optimistically, Stevens said the young wing may play Friday against the Houston Rockets if his conditioning improves. Langford's return and ramp-up has been slow and steady since he has been unable to participate in team activities for over two weeks following his diagnosis. When asked by reporters about the chance to get vaccinated, Stevens said “It’s something that I personally can’t wait to do,...I think just generally I’m looking forward to that opportunity.” After the slew of COVID cases that impacted the Celtics as well as the country, Coach Stevens' response should be no surprise.
