Luke Kornet was interviewed after the Celtics' 111-94 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kornet made his Celtics debut and played a huge role in their comeback win vs the Thunder.
Kornet talked about what the last couple of days have been like for him with the trade. "Once I was able to sit down, I was really excited," said the big man. "I'm really excited to play in Boston and with super talented guys who are good dudes."
He also mentioned that Brad Stevens told him to be ready at halftime. Kornet talked about how nice it was to finally get out there and contribute after watching the team play against Milwaukee last night from the bench.
Brad Stevens talked about Kornet in his postgame interview. He mentioned that the Celtics have had their eyes on Kornet for a while now. The big man was super grateful to hear what Stevens had to say about him. "I'm blessed to be 7'2" with long arms. I just want to make every shot difficult."
Kornet finished the game with 8 points and 5 rebounds, including two threes that gave the Celtics their first lead of the game and then pushed that lead to six points.
