Virat Kohli’s opposition notwithstanding, Anil Kumble-led ICC committee set to back ‘umpire’s call’ in DRS- The controversial ‘umpire’s call’ in DRS (decision review system) is set to stay for a while after Anil Kumble-led ICC Cricket Committee’s decision to back the element, despite strong opposition from India captain Virat Kohli. After the 1st ODI on Tuesday, Kohli was once again vocal about the issue of the umpire’s call, saying that it creates a lot of confusion and should be addressed.

अम्पायर्स कॉल को लेकर हमेशा विवाद हुआ है. ये एक ऐसा नियम है, जिसपर किसी का बस नहीं चलता. कभी ये नियम बल्लेबाज के पाले में जाता है. और कभी गेंदबाज के पाले में. मान लीजिये एक गेंदबाज अपील करता है. और अम्पायर को लगता है कि एल्बीडब्ल्यू आउट है. तो फिर वो आउट करार दे सकता है. और इसके बाद अगर गेंद जरा सी भी स्टम्प को हिट करती है. तो फिर बल्लेबाज को पवेलियन का रास्ता अपनाना पड़ेगा. पर रिव्यू बच जाएगा. अब दूसरा सिनेरियो कुछ ऐसा है. गेंदबाज अपील करता है. अंपायर आउट करार नहीं देता है. और रिव्यू में पता चलता है कि गेंद हल्के से स्टम्प को छूती हुई जा रही है. तो ऐसे में अम्पायर कॉल आता है.
