Colorado: President Joe Biden Calls For Stricter Gun Laws After Boulder Shooting Kills 10

U.S. President Joe Biden on March 23 called on lawmakers to impose a ban on assault weapons in the aftermath of the mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado & close the existing loopholes in the background check system. Biden emphasised that he got that done when he was a senator, making it a law that brought down mass killings & lawmakers today should follow suit. The President said he is not going to speculate on the motive behind the Colorado shooting because they do not have all the details. Ten people, including a police officer who was the first to respond to the scene were killed in March 22 shooting at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, the local police said. This comes less than a week after eight people were shot dead in the U.S. city of Atlanta. The police said that they had taken a suspect into custody after the shooting. Videos showed a handcuffed man being escorted from the building by officers, shirtless and with his right leg appearing to be covered in blood.
